Teachers these days have it hard. After spending 7 hours at school, teachers go home only to continue drafting and preparing lessons for the next day, maybe even for the rest of the week. So many things go into teaching including making teaching aids of which funds come out from the teacher’s own pockets. It’s difficult to say for sure that teaching is an ideal job but for some passionate individuals, teaching isn’t even a job. It is a vocation. It is a calling.

This is exactly what 100% Project stands behind; to push for better education through a crowdfunding platform for classrooms in need. 100% Project, a KL based startup company, seeks to empower teachers to provide the best learning experience for their students. 100% Project founders Karthik Karunanithy, Amelia Tan and Andrew Yong each left their old careers to pursue what they believe in most – education, and its ability to change the world.

This time around, they aim to enlighten us by promoting “a feature-length documentary Most Likely to Succeed which examines the history of education in the United States. The film explores compelling new approaches that aim to revolutionize teaching as we know it. After seeing this film, the way you think about “school” will never be the same.” The last screening date is 4th June in Penang. (For more event information, please click here.)

Although we played a small part in the 100% Project event, Printcious is happy to have been given a chance to sponsor a number of button badges, non-woven bags, stickers and t-shirts for the event crew. We only hope that though our small contribution we were able to assist in making 100% Project’s journey to help schools and teachers a little less bumpy.
