It was such a memorable day for Printcious as we emerged as a grand champion for DreamWorks entrepreneurship contest. All of our hard works were paid off and it was a fruitful journey altogether as with this opportunity, we will grow to learn and become successful in the future.
For all the future and young promising entrepreneurs in Malaysia, the Dream Factory startup contest is a remarkable program powered by the DreamWorks and Mystatr, a Malaysian crowdfunding site as they teamed up to put together a brilliant sharing platform dedicated to assisting innovative entrepreneurs to achieve their business dreams and goals! In fact, this is the first Malaysian business start-up competition organized in Chinese.
This contest is consist of three stages. The first stage will require participants to attend the first class of crowdfunding and with that comes the first phase of crowdfunding challenges. In order to make the first round, each contestant needs to raise RM8,000 within one month to be eligible for the competition. Over 134 contestants participated and only 32 candidates managed to advance to the second round and we were among the lucky ones to partake in 21-day intensive business course training and personal coaching from renowned mentors. With the grand prize of RM30,000 and the chance to visit Taiwan for learning opportunities; everyone was looking forward to becoming the winner!
In this 21 days of professional course training, we had learned so much from our mentor as the coaching had provided us with the insight on how we can grow and strengthening our business further.

Memorable experience

On the final phase of the contest, the finalists were required to prepare a demonstration and pitch about their business plan. Although we have been through few pitching before, the pitching this time is the most unforgettable. There are 16 judges who have big corporates and experienced in management from China, Taiwan, Malaysia & Singapore. After 5 minutes of pitching, then followed by another 5 minutes Q&A session grilling with “M16”. Fortunately, we were able to handle all the questions and finally won the champion.
