When I was a little girl, I remember my favourite plush toy was my little worn teddy bear, Ted. Ted wasn’t a toy, he was my best friend. I remember the anger and betrayal I felt as a child when my mother decided to donate my “old toys” which include my teddy bear to the orphanage. My mother reassured me that he was old and I had new toys to play with, but it wasn’t the same!

If you love teddy bears as much as I do, teddybearland.com hosts the Teddy Bear Picnic where teddy bear lovers can gather, compete and play! Teddybearland.com has hosted three events so far; one in 2000, 2001 and recently on the 2nd of January 2016. Both 2000 and 2001 events held the record in Malaysia’s Book of Records for the largest Gathering of People with Teddy Bears in Malaysia.

They had an approximate of 20 booths and food trucks, held Teddy Bear Contests and family activities to enjoy. There was no entrance fee for the event but everyone was required to bring a teddy as their passport.

While the main goal of the event is to create an activity for family and friends to spend quality time with each other, they were also in support of the orphanage of San Pedro, Jalan Klang Lama. The fundraising event is in conjunction with WEWorld Network, Reach Out Global Team and Globe Success Learning where all their proceeds is donated to the orphanage.

Printcious is proud to be one of the sponsors for the event. We printed customised button badges with their iconic teddy bear to be given away as door gifts. Printcious is glad that the event was a great success and can’t wait to be a part of another meaningful charity event.
