It’s National Cat Day and we’re taking some time off to appreciate our feline companions. Without cats, life wouldn’t be as fluffy and fabulous.
You don’t have to go far or spend a fortune in order to celebrate this day. Come celebrate National Cat Day the way we do at Printcious! Here are 5 ways we’re spending our October 29th.
1. Care for the strays in your area
While some of us may have the time, space and money to take care of an indoor cat, most may probably be too busy due to our class schedules and work life. Hence, we can start by feeding the strays that are meowing in our alleys.
2. Pamper your cat with calming strokes
Did you know that touching, petting, and stroking your cat can stimulate the release of natural painkilling chemicals called endorphins? Loving your cat gives many benefits towards both cat and owner because not only does it calm your cat but also lowers your blood pressure.
3. Volunteer at a local shelter
A quick online search may reveal many privately run shelters that survive on kindness and donations of the public. Why not take a day off to spend at the shelter and spread your love for shelter cats? You might even find yourself adopting one.
4. Take your cat to a nearby park
It’s a lovely day and the sun is shining brightly. Come and soak the vitamin D with your feline buddies. Don’t forget to take pictures of your cats having fun and running around to chase the butterflies!
5. Chill back with a cup of tea and a good book
Ultimately, you may want to laze around at home with your cat on your day off. So sit back, relax with a mug by your side and your cat curled up on the other while enjoying that novel.
So have you decided on your National Cat Day activity? Tell us about your day and what your plans are 😉
