“Better than a thousand days of diligent study is one day with a great teacher.” – Japanese Proverb
No truer words have ever been spoken and those who have had a great teacher can definitely attest to that. It’s a fact that education significantly affects a child’s future and that means that teachers hold a great responsibility in nurturing and educating their students. Many teachers might agree that teaching is a difficult (and often thankless) job. However, it might just be the world’s most important job of all.
In Malaysia, Teacher’s Day is a special day to celebrate teachers all across the country. This Teacher’s Day we are happy to announce that 170 customised mugs will be sponsored by Printcious and delivered to a school nearby. Headmasters and teachers as well as the staff of SMJK Kwang Hua will all receive a specially customized mug, each of which will be printed with their individual names.
All the mugs will be adorned with a simple floral motif ring which symbolises life and a teacher’s on-going effect on the lives of his or her students. In the middle of the ring of flowers is a red heart to speak of what it is to be a teacher; to devote one’s life to the betterment of the future and to do so with an open mind and a selfless heart.
The mugs personalized with the names of each member of the staff at SMJK Kwang Hua aims to show continuing appreciation and support for their individual efforts in making the school a successful institution of education and contributing to the advancement of the school and its pupils.
Now it might seem that Printcious’ generous contribution is all business but we assure you that it’s also highly personal. Kenneth, Henry, Vincent, and Phidal Tong, brothers and co-founders of Printcious, felt the need to give back to the community that has helped them grow and flourish. Three of the brothers were also once students of SMJK Kwang Hua. So that makes this sentimental as well as personal.
